Browned Butter White Chocolate Blondies

Brown butter is just so magical, it adds an amazing depth of flavor to baked goods I just can't get enough of.  When I saw this recipe on Modern Honey and had everything on hand to whip these up, I knew I had to give it a try.  The reviews on the site had some mixed results with getting the sugar to dissolve in the butter, so when mine stayed a little grainy, I just moved on.

I did move the butter/sugar mixture to my stand mixer so that it could cool quicker since my pot was holding on to the heat.  It also made it easy to mix everything in.  The white chocolate and pecans look great in the batter already!

I opted to use a 9x13 pan because I typically like my blondies and brownies on the thinner side.  I added a few extra white chocolate chips on top once I had the batter down to keep it pretty.

They baked up beautifully and I left them to cool.  I like how the extra white chocolate chips turned out on top. The parchment paper lining made these so easy to lift out and cut into bars on a cutting board.

I plated them up and they quickly disappeared as people kept going back for seconds, yum!
