I think it's finally time I share the cookie recipe that started it all. I've been making chocolate chip cookies for as long as I can remember, and when I was a teenager I decided to tweak the classic Nestle Toll House recipe to make the cookies more suit my taste preferences. The result is one of my family's favorite cookies and these are what we leave out for Santa on Christmas Eve.
Cook Time: 10 minutes per batch
Yield: 4 dozen cookies
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 sticks Land o' Lakes butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups Nestlé Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl. Set aside.
Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Drop by small cookie scoop onto ungreased baking sheets 2" apart.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Ready for Santa! |
