These are one of my most indulgent cookie recipes.  Only proceed if you really like intense chocolate flavors, they can definitely be a bit much for some consumers! I personally am a huge fan. 
You begin this recipe by combining two types of chocolate with butter in a double boiler.  This alone is delicious of course, but this becomes the base of our cookie mixture. 


Next up we add the sugar and other wet ingredients until it comes together into this chocolate-sand-looking mixture.  


Adding the remaining ingredients (including cocoa powder for a third chocolate!) and beating vigorously gets you to this shiny batter to which we add even more chocolate!


Once the dough is properly chilled, you can scoop it easily into balls which we want to chill again so they stay nice and firm for the rolling step.  We add yet another layer of chocolate as we roll the balls in cocoa powder and powdered sugar before baking.


Once baked, they get this beautiful crackle appearance and stay just slightly gooey on the inside for that burst of chocolate when you bite in.  I love the intense chocolate flavor against more mild cookies on a cookie platter, or just on their own because I love chocolate, yum!
