Two Ingredient Dough Bagels

Our Rating: 4/5

Bagels are such a great quick and easy breakfast, but they can be high on points and low on return.  Enter these "two ingredient" bagels from Skinnytaste to make your bagel dreams come true.  If you don't have self-rising flour, these are still only 5-6 ingredient bagels and I typically have the things needed on hand which is always a win in my book.

Getting these down pat does take a little bit of practice in my experience, so now when I make them I at least double, if not triple the recipe.  Then I divide the dough in half and make two different flavors.  My go-tos are blueberry and cinnamon raisin but you can make whatever flavor bagels your heart desires.  If you find the tanginess of Greek yogurt to be a bit too strong, put in a dash of your favorite sweetener and it will help take that edge off.

I've made these gluten free too following the tips in the recipe, and they also turned out great!  I used Cup 4 Cup GF All Purpose Flour, definitely a great option for those needing to follow a GF diet.

While they are packed with protein already from the yogurt, I've been on a peanut butter kick lately and love topping them with the salty spread for a nice hearty breakfast.  If you make a more savory bagel, they are also great vessels for breakfast sandwiches!

I've also tried making these in my donuts pan before instead of my air fryer and they came out beautiful but the holes closed up!
