I thought these would be the perfect cookies to kick off cookie week here on Maci Makes Meals.  Making holiday cookies is my favorite thing this time of year and it's not too late to start that holiday baking!  For more ideas check back here as I'll post more leading up to Christmas or check the cookies page to see the cookies I've already shared.

These cookies are just a WOW on all fronts.  They turned out absolutely stunning, and they tasted just delicious.  The brown sugar gave them such a nice, tender texture and great flavor from the cardamom pairing with the sugar too.

I know I rave about the Nordic Ware cookie stamps quite a bit, so I figured it was time I actually showed you what they look like.  They are gorgeous on their own, but they also make beautiful cookies.  I used the Yuletide set for this round of cookies.

The dough was a little crumbly when it came together which made me a bit nervous, but as I rolled it into balls to stamp it did come together nicely so it worked out okay.

Once baked, these cookies held their shape and stamp so well.  All three of the stamps look great, but my favorite is the reindeer.

These cookies have a simple elegance to them that I just love.  I'll definitely be making these again for gifting and sharing around the holidays (and just for myself too, yum!)
